Man arrested in connection with fatal south Alabama shooting

The Mobile Police Department has arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of Cordell Robinson, 46, that occurred June 17.

Police responded that night to reports of a shooting in the 2100 block of Wagner Street. Upon arrival, they found Robinson in the area of 500 Summerville Street.

He was taken to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries but died from his wounds late the next night, the department said previously.

Through the course of the investigation, Caleb Broadhead, 20, was identified and located in reference to the case, according to today’s release.

On Friday, Broadhead was arrested and transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail.

He is currently being held with no bond on charges of Murder, Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied or Unoccupied Building, and Probation Violation, according to jail records.
