Huntsville protesters are ‘communists,’ Marjorie Taylor Greene says during speech: ‘This is insanity’
A controversial Republican politician made an appearance in the Rocket City on Saturday.
Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke at the Moms for Liberty second annual fundraiser dinner.
She covered several topics through her keynote speech at Brewers Cooperative. Greene began her speech by remarking on the negative community response to her presence. Protesters greeted Greene as she arrived and, a day before, violent graffiti was painted on the building where she spoke.
Alabama GOP Chief John Wahl released a photo of the graffiti found at Brewers Cooperative. On Saturday, the venue is the site of conservative political group Moms for Liberty’s dinner featuring controversial Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene as the guest speaker.Joh Wahl
“Think about this, the communists are outside,” Greene said, referring to protesters. “The communists are out there, but they’re attacking us inside and calling us fascists. This is insanity. This is insanity.”
She then went on to discuss the Jan. 6 attempted insurrection in the Capitol.
“I wasn’t even sworn in yet, but there was one thing I knew, is I knew that they stole our election, and I knew that Donald Trump is our president, was our president,” she said. “I knew he had won, because I’d been on the ground everywhere, and I was like, we’re gonna fight for this.”
She went on to discuss hot-topic issues like inflation, undocumented immigrants, transgender rights and more.
The event was sold out.
