Bluegrass star Billy Strings adds 2nd Alabama city to 2023 itinerary
Billy Strings will hit at least two Alabama cities this year, thanks to newly announced summer tour dates.
The Grammy-winning bluegrass guitarist had previously announced a doubleheader in Mobile as part of his spring tour. A new summer tour includes a two-night stand in Huntsville.
Strings will perform in the Mobile Civic Center Arena on Friday, April 14, and Saturday, April 15. Both shows start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $49.50 and up and are available through Ticketmaster. Tickets are still available, though a number of shows on the spring tour have sold out.
According to newly announced summer tour dates, Strings will appear Friday, Aug. 25, and Saturday, Aug. 26 at Huntsville’s Orion Amphitheater. General public tickets sales begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17. The tour page at www.billystrings.com provided links to sign-ups for presales. According to the venue, prices range from $49.50 to $74.50 plus fees.
Strings won the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album with his 2019 release “Home.” His most recent album is “Me/And/Dad,” released in November.
