New documentary ‘Butchers of L.A.’ details connection between 70s serial killers

The brand new documentary Butchers of L.A. premieres on SundanceTV Thursday, June 26 at 10/9c.

Cord cutters interested in catching the premiere can stream Butchers of L.A. through Philo (free trial), DirecTV (free trial) or Sling (50% off first month).

What is Butchers of L.A. about?

Across the 1970s, Los Angeles was a prime preying spot for more than just one serial killer. The latest SundanceTV documentary centers on the fast-paced decade and details the discovery of 131 bodies in Los Angeles.

As panic spread, police chased a lone suspect—only to uncover three killers, each with a different method, preying on the same community.

Those tuning in will learn about three infamous killers—Patrick Kearney, William Bonin and Randy Kraft—all three of which committed horrific murders, often targeting homosexual men and discarding their bodies along highways.

Throughout the documentary, viewers will learn how their individual stories and crimes intertwine and how the police and investigators discovered they weren’t chasing a lone killer, but three.
