Birmingham man charged with reckless manslaughter in alleged DUI crash that killed woman on bicycle
A Birmingham man has been arrested in an alleged DUI crash that killed a woman who was riding her bicycle on a Fairfield road.
Antonio Tremayne Weldon Jr., 24, is charged with reckless manslaughter in the death of 34-year-old Michelle Lynn Dickerson.
Weldon was booked into the Jefferson County Jail shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. His bond is set at $30,000.

The deadly wreck happened at 9:29 p.m. Friday, March 29, on 36th Street at Avenue E in Fairfield.
Authorities contend Weldon was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana and driving on the wrong side of the road when he hit Dickerson.
The victim was taken to UAB Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 3:06 p.m. the following day.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation.
