Which Alabama BBQ joint deserves more love? We want to know!

There are a lot — and we mean a lot — of really, really good barbecue joints spread throughout Alabama.

Some of them are beloved favorites that have been around for decades, like Dreamland Bar-B-Que in Tuscaloosa, Lannie’s BBQ Spot in Selma and Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q in Decatur. Others are adding new flavors to old classics, like Saw’s BBQ in the Birmingham area.

That said, with so many options, it’s easy for great barbecue to get overlooked.

Our Unsung series highlights some of the state’s hidden treasures, and with that in mind, we want y’all to share with us what Alabama barbecue joints you think deserve more love.

It doesn’t matter if it’s new or old, located in the middle of a city or down a long dirt road — the only thing it has to have is great barbecue in need of a little more recognition.

You can send us an email, answer the question above or fill out this questionnaire to tell us which Alabama barbecue restaurant you think is a hidden gem in need of a little more praise. It may be included in our upcoming Unsung BBQ poll or even be featured in a story for the series.
