One person is dead following a crash early this morning on Interstate 10 near Daphne.

WKRG is citing Daphne police, which stated the crash happened at about 3:30 a.m.

A vehicle traveling westbound around the 37 mile marker on Interstate 10 crashed into the back of a second vehicle, sending both into the median, police stated.

The first vehicle went through the barrier into the eastbound lanes, and the driver was ejected. He was then struck by at least one vehicle and died.

The crash kept the interstate closed for about three hours in both directions.
