A traffic accident in Baldwin County fatally injured a woman Wednesday morning.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the two vehicle crash occurred when a 2002 Chevrolet S10 driven by Margie J. Roach struck a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee at about 10:48 on South Hickory Street.

Roach, 71, of Orange Beach, was taken to South Baldwin Hospital for her injuries but would succumb to her wounds.

The Jeep was driven by Joanna Favela, 50.

ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the crash.
