Top 10 retailers in the U.S.: No. 1 is on everyone’s most-wanted list
Everyone has their own opinion on what makes a great retail experience with convenience, customer service and price all playing a role.
But some retailers tend to consistently be favorites, as seen in a 24/7 Wall Street analysis of data from the 2025 Axios Harris Poll 100 Reputation Ranking. The consumer survey ranked 100 brands on factors such as character, trust, growth, vision and ethics. Stores were divided into six separate rankings: excellent, very good, good, fair, poor and very poor.

All of the top 10 listed here were under the excellent, very good and good categories.
