Two Birmingham-based corporations have made the annual Fortune 500 list.

And it’s two familiar names from last year’s ranking.

The list, which ranks companies by publicly reported revenue, encompasses corporations totaling almost $20 trillion in revenue.

It is the 71st year for the ranking.

At the top, for the 13th year in a row, was Walmart, with revenue of $681 billion, followed by Amazon, UnitedHealth, Apple and CVS Health.

Regions Financial Corp. checks in at 433, down from 428 in 2024. The company employs 19,600 with a reported revenue of $9.4 billion.

Vulcan Materials Corp. rounds out the list at 500, employing 12,000. It reported revenue of $7.4 billion. It placed at 472 last year.
