Live updates: Alabama baseball faces Miami to begin NCAA Tournament
Alabama baseball’s NCAA Tournament journey begins on Friday, when the Crimson Tide is scheduled to play its first game in the Hattiesburg regional. Rob Vaughn’s UA squad is set to face off with Miami to open the double-elimination regional.
The Crimson Tide is well-rested after winning one game, but losing its second in the SEC Tournament in Hoover. Alabama felt it had a case for hosting its own regional, but will instead be in one hosted by Southern Miss.
The Tide is the No. 2 seed in the regional, with Miami No. 3. The Hurricanes enter the game at 31-24 on the season, and fell 12-2 against Cal in their first game of the ACC tournament.
Alabama and Miami’s first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT. It will be aired on ESPN 2.
