Donald Trump was skewered on social media as “unhinged” after the president wished a “Happy Memorial Day” to Americans, “including the scum that spent the last four years trying to destroy our country …”

Trump was criticized for not acknowledging the troops that sacrificed their lives for the country and suggesting that the holiday is cheerful instead of somber.

The president’s Truth Social post was mostly focused on his opposition, whom he referred to as “the scum.”

“HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL, INCLUDING THE SCUM THAT SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY THROUGH WARPED RADICAL LEFT MINDS, WHO ALLOWED 21,000,000 MILLION PEOPLE TO ILLEGALLY ENTER OUR COUNTRY, MANY OF THEM BEING CRIMINALS AND THE MENTALLY INSANE,THROUGH AN OPEN BORDER THAT ONLY AN INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT WOULD APPROVE, AND THROUGH JUDGES WHO ARE ON A MISSION TO KEEP MURDERERS, DRUG DEALERS, RAPISTS, GANG MEMBERS, AND RELEASED PRISONERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, IN OUR COUNTRY SO THEY CAN ROB, MURDER, AND RAPE AGAIN — ALL PROTECTED BY THESE USA HATING JUDGES WHO SUFFER FROM AN IDEOLOGY THAT IS SICK, AND VERY DANGEROUS FOR OUR COUNTRY,“ Trump posted.

“HOPEFULLY THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT, AND OTHER GOOD AND COMPASSIONATE JUDGES THROUGHOUT THE LAND, WILL SAVE US FROM THE DECISIONS OF THE MONSTERS WHO WANT OUR COUNTRY TO GO TO HELL. BUT FEAR NOT, WE HAVE MADE GREAT PROGRESS OVER THE LAST 4 MONTHS, AND AMERICA WILL SOON BE SAFE AND GREAT AGAIN! AGAIN, HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!” he continued.

The post was slammed on social media by critics of the president.

“This is the Memorial Day message Trump decided to post. There is not a single mention of our fallen troops, veterans, or anyone who has served. What a total disgrace,” tweeted liberal social media influencer Harry Sisson.

Joe Walsh, a former Republican congressman-turned-Trump critic, said the post was disrespectful to the troops.

“His Memorial Day message here is no surprise bcuz today is about something Trump has ZERO understanding of – sacrifice. Trump is the antithesis of sacrifice,” Walsh tweeted.

Mike Sington, an entertainment executive with more than 140,000 followers on X, said the post was proof that Trump is unfit for office.

“Trump’s Memorial Day message to America is disgraceful, unhinged, and the rant of a mentally deranged madman,” he tweeted. “Just more proof he’s completely unfit to hold the office of President.”
