Charles Barkley’s controversial steak order: ‘I’m from Alabama man, just throw some sauce on it’

Charles Barkley apparently has strong opinions about his steak order.

On the set of “Inside the NBA,” the former Auburn star and NBA Hall of Famer revealed he likes his steak well done.

“I’m from Alabama man, just throw some sauce on it,” Barkley said about his steak order during a post-game interview with Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton on Friday night.

Haliburton told the basketball legend he was “too old for that,” and suggested Barkley instead try a medium rare cook.

Barkley was disgusted by the suggestion, and said he’d just throw some sauce on his well done steak when he visits St. Elmo’s steakhouse in Indianapolis.

Indiana beat the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden on Friday to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. The TNT crew will travel to Indy on Sunday for Game 3 of the series.

Haliburton reminded Barkley he’s not in Alabama anymore, and that it’s time to try new things.

“You have a lot of experience man, you’ve been to a lot of cities, you’ve been around for a long time man,” the Pacer’s point guard said.

But Barkley would not budge from his love for a well done steak.

“It just takes a little longer,” he added.
