First residents moving into build-to-rent community near Redstone Arsenal
The first residents of the Nestledown Farm build-to-rent community near Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville are now moving in.
Jim Chapman Construction Group – the contractor for the community – announced Thursday it had received the first certificates of occupancy for the community. The company said 201 cottage-style homes are planned for Nestledown Farm, which is less than two miles from the Martin Road West Gate entrance.
“We’re proud to hit this milestone at Nestledown Farm,” said Jim Chapman, president of JCCG. “Delivering quality homes on time and on budget for our investors is what we’re known for, and this project highlights how our team executes from land development to final delivery.”
Land development began in September 2023, the company said. The initial move-ins started this month.
Currently, 182 homes are under construction as progress continues across all phases of the 29-acre site, the contractor said. Entrance landscaping and hardscapes are taking shape.
Model homes are opening this month, offering prospective renters a firsthand look at the floorplans. Work on the perimeter fence and dog park are underway. The clubhouse is also on track for its grand opening, according to JCCG.
Nestledown Farm is a master-on-main community, JCCG said, “ideal for singles, active adults and seniors seeking a quiet, maintenance-free lifestyle.”
The neighborhood features attached townhomes with five distinct ranch cottages for rent floorplans—Frisco, Fresno, Richmond, Reno, and Tulsa. Homes range in size from 1,020 to 1,466 square feet and offer two or three bedrooms with the option of a one- or two-car-attached garage. Each home includes luxury vinyl tile flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, window blinds and the added benefit of an in-unit washer and dryer.
The community will offer a 4,000-square-foot clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center, dog park, 24-hour emergency maintenance, a gated entrance, onsite property management, and illuminated sidewalks for safety and convenience.
In addition to the Arsenal, Nestledown Farm has easy access to downtown Huntsville, developers said. It is just one mile from Publix and approximately four miles from Town Madison.
