Moe’s Original BBQ is coming to Gadsden.

The fast-growing barbecue franchise will open its newest location on Monday at 208 S. Second St. in a 5,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Nola’s on Second.

The location will feature Moe’s familiar menu of pulled pork, ribs, smoked wings, turkey and chicken as well as catfish and shrimp. Large party take out and catering for parties and events is also available.

It will also have a full bar with rotating drink specials. The restaurant plans to host live music and trivia nights in the future.

Co-owner Chris Campbell said he and his brother Michael have looked at Gadsden as a location for a while.

“It has always been a dream of opening a Moe’s in our hometown as we knew it was the perfect place to bring this style of good Southern food, cold drinks, and great vibes,” he said.

The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with bar hours extending into the evening. The 1,200-square-foot dining area has tile floors, handcrafted wooden furniture, and seats up to 80 guests.

There’s also an outdoor patio for sunny lunches or cool evenings.

Moe’s has 20 locations in Alabama, as well as restaurants in 11 states.
