21-year-old jailed in Montgomery shooting that killed 1, wounded 1
A 21-year-old man was taken into custody Friday in connection with a double shooting in Montgomery last month that left one person dead and another injured.
MyQuarious Xavier Solomon is charged with murder and attempted murder.
Killed in the April 17 shooting was 21-year-old Jaquan Lewis.
Police and fire medics responded at 8:39 p.m. that Thursday to a report of people shot in the 3200 block of Brookwood Drive.
Sgt. Tina McGriff said they arrived to find two men wounded. Both were taken to the hospital where Lewis was pronounced dead.
The second victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Additional details surrounding the shooting have not yet been released.
Solomon was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility at 11 a.m. Friday.
