Kamala Harris, Donald Trump rematch? Poll shows shocking result for 2024 election do-over
What would happen if America took a mulligan on the 2024 election?
A new poll has answered that question — with disastrous results for President Donald Trump.
The Strength in Numbers/Verasight poll showed former Vice President Kamala Harris winning the White House over Trump, 40% to 36% with 1% undecided.
When only taking into account those who did not vote in 2024, Harris had a sizable lead — 36% to 22%, with 43% of those voters saying they still would not cast a ballot, the poll found.
When teasing out just the respondents who said they did vote, Trump and Harris were tied at 43%.
When removing those who said they would not vote, Harris leads the 2024 do-over by 5 percentage points, 47% to 42%.
Democrats in general also fared well in the poll, which found respondents favor generic Democratic House candidates over Republicans in the 2026 midterm elections.
Democrats lead the generic ballot by 6 percentage points; 47% to the GOP’s 41%.
The Strength in Numbers/Verasight Poll of 1,000 U.S. adult residents was conducted May 1 to May 6. It has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3.2 percentage points.
