250,000-square-foot shopping center bringing big box retailers to north Alabama city
Developers are beginning construction on a 250,000-square-foot shopping center in Marshall County.
Sand Mountain Marketplace will be located at 10722 U.S. 431 in Albertville along the city’s primary commercial sector. It is expected to be completed in the spring of 2027.
Willow Capital Partners, an Atlanta-based commercial real estate firm, is the developer. Willow acquired the 30-plus acre site in April.
Target, Academy Sports + Outdoors, HomeGoods and Burlington have already announced stores at the center, with other retailers to be named at a later date. There will be additional outparcel restaurant and retail offerings.
Hugo and Clint Isom of JLL are leasing the property.
Mayor Tracy Honea said the beginning of the project is the “culmination of many hours, weeks and months of work by numerous people and entities.”
Honea said Sand Mountain Marketplace will “be a destination center that will not only serve the citizens of Albertville – but Marshall County and the surrounding area as well.”
