Jalen Milroe, 3 former Alabama high school stars to attend NFLPA Rookie Premiere

Four players with Alabama football roots are scheduled to attend the 31st annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere next week in Los Angeles.

Among the 42 players on the roster for the event are Jalen Milroe from Alabama and three state high school stars – Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson of Pinson Valley, Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins of Pike Road and Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard of Fairhope – the NFL Players Association announced on Thursday.

The Rookie Premiere is hosted by the NFL Players Association through its marketing and licensing arm NFL Players Inc. It will be held from Wednesday through Saturday.

The union’s annual orientation for the league’s “emerging stars” features seminars on financial planning and brand building and connects the players with NFLPA business partners with the aim of helping them enhance their brands and careers beyond the field.

Fanatics will unveil each rookie’s jersey and Panini and EA Sports will hold photo shoots and content-creation sessions with the players at the event.

In addition to those companies, businesses attending this year’s Rookie Premiere include New Era, Microsoft, Nike, Sony, Oakley, WHOOP, Lululemon, Pro Standard, Highland Mint, Funko, FedEx, On The Mark, Gatorade, Gillette, Shiftwave, EXOS, Proctor and Gamble, Pepsi and Jersey Mike’s, which will provide the players with products and other services.

“NFLPA Rookie Premiere gives our partners a rare chance to meet the next generation of stars not just through the draft buzz, but through real conversations and real connections,” NFL Players Inc. President Matt Curtin said. “Over the weekend, you see who these rookies really are – their energy, their personality, their drive – and it sparks ideas for how to build with them. This class already understands the power of their personal brand, and Rookie Premiere helps turn that into lasting business relationships.”

The Cleveland Browns selected Judkins in the second round of the NFL Draft on April 25.

The Seattle Seahawks selected Milroe in the third round on April 25.

The Indianapolis Colts selected Leonard in the sixth round on April 26.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Johnson in the seventh round on April 26.
