One person is dead after a traffic accident in Mobile County on Wednesday evening.

According to the Mobile Police Department, the accident occurred at about 6:21 p.m. near the entrance to the Creekwood Church of Christ. The crash involved two vehicles.

Responding officers found four individuals with injuries, believed to be minor at the time, and were transported to local hospitals.

According to police, the Traffic Homicide Unit was notified on Thursday that one of the passengers in the crash died from her injuries.

The victim was identified as Sara Sargent, 89. The incident is still being investigate, the department said.
