Hallmark introduces Reality TV with Heart, including four new unscripted shows

The Hallmark network is gearing up for back-to-back releases of new unscripted original series as part of their new project Reality TV with Heart.

According to a Hallmark Media press release, Reality TV with Heart is one of Hallmark’s 2025 projects geared towards reintroducing a group of unscripted series into its programming.

As of early April, the Hallmark network is slated to release four new unscripted series, all of which are currently in the development phase.

Baked with Love: Holiday, Armed to Build, Daughter of the Bride and Murder Mystery House are the working titles for the upcoming unscripted shows included in the Reality TV with Heart lineup.

What will the new shows be about?

Baked with Love: Holiday: A family recipe bake-off where talented home bakers showcase their signature family holiday bakes and the heartfelt stories behind them.

Armed to Build: Beloved Hallmark star Nikki DeLoach helps a community honor, celebrate, and give back to their first responders and veterans by delivering distinct life transformations, enabling them to continue their heroic work.

Daughter of the Bride: Showcases genuine and heartfelt stories of adult daughters helping their mothers as they prepare for a new beginning in love.

Murder Mystery House: Co-created by Hallmark star Jonathan Bennett, the reality show invites Hallmark Mystery fans to join in on the investigation—inviting them to a gorgeous mansion where there’s been a “murder.” These real-life sleuths must narrow down the suspects, made up of favorite Hallmark actors, and figure out who the culprit is for a cash prize.

When will Reality TV with Heart debut on Hallmark?

Though the press release didn’t mention a set date the upcoming shows would join the lineup, the network is hoping the reality TV shows will debut as part of the 2025 schedule.

More information on the upcoming Hallmark schedule will be released soon.

How can I watch Hallmark without cable?

Those interested in streaming the upcoming Reality TV with Heart and the four reality shows it includes can stream the Hallmark Channel even without access to traditional cable. Currently, the streaming services Philo, Fubo, DirecTV Stream and Sling offer the Hallmark Channel.

Out of the streaming service options listed above, Philo is the cheapest at just $28 a month after its free trial concludes.

What is Philo?

Philo is one of the cheapest basic cable alternatives in the streaming service market. At just $28 a month after its 7-day free trial, Philo users unlock a world of entertainment spanning over 70 top rated live TV channels including MTV, BET, A&E, AMC, CMT, Investigation Discovery and more.

Along with popular TV channels to explore, those interested in further tailoring their content can consider including add-ons such as AMC+, Hallmark+, MGM+, STARZ and more into their monthly subscription.

Subscribers can also take advantage of key Philo features such as the unlimited DVR feature, which allows for endless recording of favorite content, and unlike traditional cable services, users no longer have to worry about having enough storage when recording.

What is Fubo and DirecTV Stream?

Fubo considers itself a sports-focused live streaming service, but with over 100 live TV channels available through its base package at just $84.99 after its free trial, it offers much more to its subscribers.

Popular TV channels available through Fubo include ABC, FOX, BET, MTV, CNBC, MSNBC, USA and much more.

DirecTV Stream mirrors Fubo by offering many of the same live TV channels and useful features. The base package starts at just $86.99 a month after its 5-day free trial and includes popular channels such as HGTV, ESPN, Bravo, CMT, CNN, BET and much more.

Two other DirecTV Stream packages are the Choice package (original price $114.99) and the Ultimate package (original price $129.99), both of which are part of an ongoing promotion that offers new subscribers $10 off the original price for the first three months of their subscription.

What is Sling?

Sling is another streaming service to consider if you want to stream live TV channels like Hallmark. Though no free trial is available to new subscribers, those who commit to a paid plan get half off the first month.

Both the Sling Orange plan and the Sling Blue plan are normally $45.99 a month, but with the current promotion, Sling users will pay just $23 a month for the first month.

For those who wish to access channels from both the Sling Blue and Sling Orange plans can do so by signing up for the Orange + Blue plan, which combines the best of both plans for just $60.99 a month ($30.50 for the first month).
