Bread recalled due to possible glass fragments on crust

Maryland-based company Upper Crust Crest Hill Bakery is voluntarily recalling three types of bread because fragments of glass were found on the top of the bread, according to a report from the FDA.

The company, also known as the Crest Hill Bakery, produces partially baked and frozen wholesale bread and baked products, including pizza dough and fully baked breads, according to its website.

The recall covers 89 cases of frozen Ancient Grains Hoagie Rolls, 699 cases of frozen Multigrain Sourdough and 30 cases of Whole Grain Multigrain bread. You can go here to see complete product codes.

According to the FDA report, the bread was sold in Pennsylvania, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Ohio, and Maryland.

In an April 30 statement on its website, the bakery said all affected products were removed from store shelves and no injuries had been reported to date.
