Spots in the state semifinals will be on the line for teams across the state this week.

The next round of the AHSAA state soccer playoffs are set to continue on Thursday, with teams looking to punch a ticket to the final four in Huntsville.

Class 1A-3A, Class 4A and Class 7A are set to complete the second round of the playoffs this week, while Class 5A and Class 6A are in the third round of the playoffs.

The state semifinals will begin on May 7 in Huntsville at John Hunt Park, with Class 1A-3A, 4A and 5A semifinals on the first day and 6A and 7A to play their semifinal games the following day.

Class 1A-3A, 4A and 5A will play championship games on Friday, May 10 and Class 6A and 7A will wrap up the soccer playoffs with title games the following day.
