Seahawks select Robbie Ouzts in 2025 NFL Draft
Alabama football saw an unexpected former player come off the board late in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Seattle Seahawks selected Crimson Tide tight end Robbie Ouzts with the 175th overall pick, in the fifth round of the draft.
Ouzts was largely expected to go undrafted. He was the first Alabama tight end to be selected.
Ouzts is best known for his run-blocking ability, but during the season, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer mentioned how many things he can do on the field.
“Robbie, he’s just a really versatile guy, and becoming more versatile when it comes to special teams and offense,” DeBoer said in November. “He’s one of those guys that when you talk about the reps that you’ve had now in our offense, and how we teach things, just getting used to the locations we’re going to put him in as a tight end, but even as a fullback role, the spots that we put him all over the field.
“The reps have really helped him develop and grow, and now you see him not just go out there and try to execute what’s on paper and what the play’s supposed to be, but he’s actually going out there and making plays.”
The Rock Hill, S.C. native made eight catches for 108 yards, with two touchdowns last season for the Crimson Tide, splitting reps with Dippre. Ouzts was listed at 6-foot-4, 270 pounds for Alabama in 2024, and joined the Tide as a recruit in 2021.
Ouzts joins his former quarterback in Seattle; the Seahawks selected Jalen Milroe in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
