A two-vehicle crash in Mobile County on Wednesday left one man dead, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The wreck fatally injured Jeffrey S. Shaw, 40, of Coden.

According to ALEA, the crash occurred at about 5:15 p.m. on Alabama State Route 193 when Shaw’s 2000 Toyota Celina collided head on with a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Justin Hera.

Shaw was pronounced dead at the scene. Hera, 36, was transported to Springhill Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.

The crash is continuing to be investigated by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division, according to the agency.
