Trump slams Fox News ‘fake pollster’ after first 100 days approval rating is historically horrific

Poll numbers have usually been a point of pride for President Donald Trump.

But after a disastrous Fox News Poll released Wednesday showed he has the lowest approval rating after his first 100 days of any president in the last 20 years, Trump unleashed his anger Thursday at News Corporation CEO and Chairman Rupert Murdoch and the survey’s “fake pollster.”

“Rupert Murdoch has told me for years that he is going to get rid of his FoxNews, Trump Hating, Fake Pollster, but he has never done so,” Trump posted Thursday morning to his Truth Social media platform.

“This ‘pollster’ has gotten me, and MAGA, wrong for years,” Trump continued before tearing into one of Murdoch’s other media properties.

“Also, and while he’s at it, he should start making changes at the China Loving Wall Street Journal. It sucks!!!”

After his first 100 days, Trump’s approval rating stands at 44% — a five-point slide from his 49% approval in March, the Fox News Poll found.

Trump’s approval rating is the lowest for any president after their first 100 days in 20 years.

Joe Biden was at 54% after his first 100 days, while Barack Obama was at 62% and George W. Bush had a 63% approval rating at the 100-day mark of their presidencies.

The same poll found 62% of respondents want Trump to succeed — the lowest percentage of any president in 20 years.

Before Wednesday’s poll, the lowest mark of any president on that question was George W. Bush.

In early August 2006, 63% of voters said they wanted Bush to succeed in his second term, the poll found.
