Popular brand is releasing a new product for the first time in more than 5 years

Kool-Aid and Nike are teaming up for a limited-time collaboration featuring sneakers and a new drink pack.

The two brands have joined with NBA star Ja Morant to launch the new Nike x Kool-Aid Ja 2 collection. The new collab features Nike sneakers in colors inspired by Morant’s favorite Kool-Aid flavors: Blue Raspberry, Cherry, Orange and Lemon-Lime.

According to a press release, the collaboration was inspired by Morant’s life growing up in South Carolina. Morant wanted the sneaker colors to honor the special memories at his grandmother’s house.

“I remember my grandma always having some Kool-Aid in the fridge and that’s part of my special childhood memories,” said Morant in a press release.

In celebration, Kool-Aid is launching a limited-edition combo pack, its first new product in five years. The Mix n’ Kicks combo pack lets fans mix and match four flavors to create unique combinations.

The shoe collection is dropping in two phases – the first in May followed by the second in July. The first will feature colors inspired by Blue Raspberry and Cherry Kool-Aid that blend into Orange and Lemon Lime colors on the sole.
