UCLA QB to enter transfer portal 3 months after arriving on campus, headed to Tennessee?

The musical chairs that is the transfer portal continues to as it appears to UCLA quarterback Joey Aguilar is expected to move on.

Aguilar, who got on campus in January, intends to re-enter the portal, per 247Sports.

Furthermore, it appears Tennessee has interest in Aguilar.

The news comes not long after former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava transferred to play for the Bruins.

Aguilar, who transferred from Appalachian State, played his first two seasons of college football at Diablo Valley Community College, northeast of San Francisco. He then transferred to App State and won Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year.

Aguilar has one more season of eligibility.

On Sunday, Iamaleava said he’s heading to UCLA, a week after Tennessee announced the quarterback who helped the Volunteers reach last season’s College Football Playoff was no longer with the program.

Iamaleava issued an Instagram post of himself in a UCLA uniform Sunday.

“My journey at UT has come to an end,” Iamaleava said in the post. “This decision was incredibly difficult, and truthfully, not something I expected to make this soon. But I trust God’s timing, and I believe He’s leading me where I need to be. Even though, this chapter is ending, a new chapter has begun and I am committed to UCLA!”
