Woman sexually assaulted in broad daylight at Montgomery park; suspect sought
Authorities are trying to identify a suspect in the sexual assault of a woman at a Montgomery park.
Central Alabama Crime Stoppers on Monday announced a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the identity and arrest of the suspect.
The assault happened between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, at Wynton Blount Park. Police said the attack happened near the entrance at Woodmere Boulevard.
The unknown suspect is facing charges of first-degree rape and first-degree theft of property.
He is described as a Black male, slim build, between 5-feet, 5-inches tall and 5-feet, 6-inches tall. The suspect was wearing a black t-shirt and red basketball shorts with a black design at the time of the assault.
