The National Weather Service issued an updated report at 3:41 p.m. on Friday for hail until 7 p.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman counties.

“Thunderstorms will continue to sporadically pop up and develop lightning, pea to dime sized hail, and gusty winds across portions of southern middle Tennessee and northern Alabama this afternoon. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio, or a favorite local media outlet, for further statements or updates from the National Weather Service in Huntsville,” according to the weather service.
