Baldwin County woman charged with manslaughter in fentanyl related death

A Baldwin County woman was indicted by for allegedly selling fentanyl to an individual who died, court records state.

Shelby Young, 28, is facing a manslaughter-fentanyl charge for allegedly distributing the drug to Joelle Wilson.

Wilson would later die as a “proximate result of the use of the controlled substance” court records say.

Records did not indicate when Young gave Wilson the drug prior to her subsequent death.

Young was arrested Wednesday night and her bail was set at $30,000.
