Charles Barkley gets mocked by San Antonio women for looks, weight, no ring in ‘Pop the Balloon’
Charles Barkley has targeted San Antonio women for years with his snide comments.
Most recently, while attending a 2025 March Madness music festival, he took another shot.
“Listen, San Antonio is a great city,” the 62-year-old Barkley said. “I want to say this, y’all are a great city. I love Gregg Popovich and the Spurs. No seriously San Antonio, y’all put on a major, major, great show.
“And I want to say this … and yes, y’all got some big (b-word) here.”
Well, the shoe was on the other foot, and the women of San Antonio fired back.
TNT Sports set up a mock episode of “Pop The Balloon,” hosted by Kenny Smith, where the women took shots at the former Auburn star.
They took shots at his looks, weight and more.
“Let’s be real, you don’t even have any rings,” one woman said. “So I can’t trust that you’re gonna give me one if you don’t even have any.”
“Pop the Balloon,” for the uninitiated, is a singles dating game where people engage in speed dating. If they are ready to call it quits, they simply pop the balloon.
When Barkley stepped into the room, it didn’t take long for the women to react.
Barkley’s verbal assault on San Antonio started back in 2014.
“Some big ol’ women down there [in San Antonio] … that’s a gold mine for Weight Watchers,” he said in 2014.
“Victoria is definitely a secret (in San Antonio) … they can’t wear no Victoria’s Secret down there. … They wear bloomers down there. … Ain’t nothing skimpy down there.”
