Popular 1990s sitcom actress will speak at Faulkner University dinner
Actress, producer and author Candace Cameron Bure will be the featured speaker at Faulkner University’s Benefit Dinner this year, the university announced Saturday.
“Faulkner’s Benefit Dinner is a longstanding tradition, a highly anticipated event in Montgomery and the River Region,” the university stated in a press release.
Past speakers have included U.S. presidents, international heads of state, athletes, astronauts and journalists, the university said.
Cameron Bure became first known for her role as “D.J. Tanner” on the television show “Full House.” She was nominated for an Emmy for her role as a co-host of “The View.” She has written eight books, including three children’s books, and has her own business and clothing brand.
All proceeds from the Faulkner dinner go toward student scholarships, according to the university.
Tickets go on sale May 5 and can be purchased here.
