Cyclist killed in Thursday morning Mobile crash identified

A Mobile man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

At about 4:18 a.m. a cyclist was riding his bike when he was struck by a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica on Old Pascagoula Road, ALEA said.

The cyclist was identified as James H. Wade Jr., 55, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was identified as Benjamin E. Walker Jr., 43.

ALEA said no further information was available but the crash was still being investigated.
