Huntsville man, 21, jailed on sodomy, soliciting child charges after 2-month probe

A 21-year-old Huntsville man was jailed Wednesday on sodomy and soliciting a child charges following a two-month investigation involving several agencies, authorities said Tuesday.

Albertville police obtained warrants Monday for Michael Moffatt, who was arrested on charges of electronic solicitation of a child first-degree and sodomy second-degree, the department said Tuesday.

Moffatt’s arrest came after a two-month probe involving the Marshall County Department of Human Resources, Marshall County Child Advocacy Center and Marshall County Juvenile Probation, said Albertville police.

The Huntsville man was taken to the Marshall County Jail on $30,000 bond.
