‘Oklahoma City Bombing: One Day In America’ docuseries: How to watch, where to stream free
The brand new three-part docuseries Oklahoma City Bombing: One Day In America premieres on National Geographic Wednesday, April 2 at 8/7c.
According to a National Geographic press release, the new docuseries is the latest installment to join the Emmy award-winning “One Day In America” franchise and features “rare archive footage and first-hand testimony from witnesses—some sharing their stories for the first time.”
The first episode of the docuseries titled “Explosion,” details the day the bombing happened, April 19, 1995. When a bomb exploded outside of a federal building, citizens were plunged into chaos. First responders worked tirelessly and around the clock to save those trapped inside.
The first part of the docuseries also focuses on the role the media played in searching for answers and also includes glimpses into what became one of the biggest investigations the FBI has conducted thus far.
Following the docuseries premiere, parts two and three will follow at 9/8c and 10/9c respectively. Episode two titled “Manhunt,” showcases a second explosion, mass panic and an ordered evacuation. Also in this episode, the FBI goes on to launch a nationwide search for the culprit.
Finally, episode three titled “Justice,” features President Clinton arriving in Oklahoma as grieving families come together to remember those lost in the domestic terrorist attack. Viewers tuning in for the final episode of this docuseries will also catch the nation as it grapples with the reality that the bomber is an American veteran.
