While a handful of Walmart stores are closing, the retail giant is adding to its gas and convenience center footprint.
The retailer recently confirmed to Fox Business 45 of its fuel and convenience stations were opening or being renovated this year.
“By adding dozens of fuel and convenience stations this year, we are bringing even more value to our customers,” Walmart U.S. Vice President of Fuel and Convenience Dave DeSerio said in a statement to the network. “Customers shop Walmart for our everyday low prices and convenience offerings, and the fuel stations are another example of us responding to our customer and member needs.”
The new stations will bring the total number of stores to more than 450 in 34 different states.
