Semifinal voting now open for the AL.com fans boys basketball player of the year

Two double-digit seeds and two of the top three seeds in the tournament will face off in the semifinals in the AL.com fans bracket to name the top boys high school basketball player in 2025.

Second-seeded Jacoby Hill of Central-Phenix City is the highest seed remaining from the 16-player bracket. He will face off against No. 3 seed Salim London of Hoover. In the “Cinderella” side of the bracket, 12 seed Brayden Rivers of Huntsville will battle 16 seed Jayden Williams of Ramsay.

Rivers was the overall leading vote getter in the quarterfinals with more than 1,400 votes. Williams has pulled off two upsets already, beating top-seeded DeWayne Brown of Hoover in the first round and 8 seed Peyton Wiggins of Huffman in the quarterfinal.

2. Jacoby Hill (Central-Phenix City) def. 10 Devin Barksdale (Gadsden City)

12 Brayden Rivers (Huntsville) def. 13 Jayden Parks (Brantley)

16 Jayden Williams (Ramsay) def. 8 Peyton Wiggins (Huffman)

Voting is now open for our two semifinal matches. It closes Sunday. Voting in the championship round begins a week from today.
