A 93-year-old man was killed in a Friday crash in Decatur.

Police identified the victim as Theodore G. Thorm.

Morgan County 911 just before 11 a.m. received a call of a two-vehicle wreck on Danville Road S.W. near Freemont Street S.W.

The Decatur Police Department’s Traffic Division, Decatur firefighters and EMS responded to the scene.

The investigation determined that Thom was driving a PT Cruiser that crossed the center line and struck a southbound Toyota Corolla.

Thom was pronounced dead on the scene by Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn.

The Toyota’s driver and a passenger were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
