Stallions’ USFL schedule features 6 games in Birmingham
After winning the USFL championship in the 2022 season, the Birmingham Stallions will kick off the 2023 season with a home game against the New Jersey Generals on April 15.
The contest against New Jersey will be the first of six regular-season games at Protective Stadium for the Stallions.
Last year, the USFL staged its entire 40-game regular season in Birmingham. This year, the USFL has spread its eight teams across four hubs, with Birmingham retaining the Stallions and New Orleans Breakers. Birmingham’s 10-game slate includes the Stallions’ five home contests plus a game at Protective Stadium against the Breakers as the visiting team.
The Stallions’ 2023 regular-season schedule includes (with all times Central):
· April 15: New Jersey Generals, 6:30 p.m. at Protective Stadium in Birmingham.
· April 22: Memphis Showboats, 6 p.m. at Protective Stadium in Birmingham
· April 29: New Orleans Breakers, 11:30 a.m. at Protective Stadium in Birmingham
· May 7: Pittsburgh Maulers, 5:30 p.m. at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio
· May 13: Houston Gamblers, 3 p.m. at Protective Stadium in Birmingham
· May 20: Michigan Panthers, 3 p.m. at Ford Field in Detroit
· May 27: New Orleans Breakers, 3 p.m. at Protective Stadium in Birmingham
· June 3: Philadelphia Stars, 2 p.m. at Protective Stadium in Birmingham
· June 11: Houston Gamblers, 1 p.m. at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee
· June 17: Memphis Showboats, 3 p.m. at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee
In the April 29 game against the Breakers, the Stallions are the home team. In the May 27 game, the Breakers are the home team.
The June 3 game against Philadelphia is a rematch of last season’s USFL Championship Game. The Stallions defeated the Stars 33-30 on July 3 to win the crown in the league’s inaugural season.
