2 teens among 3 charged with capital murder in Birmingham deaths of 19-year-old and man, 20

Three suspects have been charged in the 2024 shooting deaths of two men at an Inglenook home.

Jaylen Frost, 18, of Tarrant, Cam’Ron Frost, 18, of Birmingham and Taquan Patterson, 22, also of Birmingham, were taken into custody Tuesday, according to Birmingham police and court records.

They are charged with capital murder in the slayings of 19-year-old Camry Enrieque Lee and 20-year-old Michael Allen Carroll.

The charge is a capital crime because two or more people were killed in the one act. A motive has not been disclosed.

East Precinct officers responded to a shots fired call around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in the 4400 block of 41st Place North.

Officers went to the back area of an abandoned house where they found Lee lying unresponsive in the driveway. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police then found Carroll inside the house following a search of the area. He, too, was dead on the scene.

A stolen vehicle was recovered at the scene.

Police the warrants against the trio were obtained March 19. The Crime Reduction Team took them into custody at a Titusville home on Tuesday.

All three remain held without bond in the Jefferson County Jail.
