Coca-Cola is recalling over 10,000 cans of soda due to contamination
More than 10,000 cans of Coca-Cola have been recalled because the cans may contain pieces of plastic.
Wisconsin-based Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling is recalling 864 units of 12-packs cases of Coca-Cola Original Taste soda. The recalled products were distributed in Illinois and Wisconsin, per an announcement on the FDA website.
The recalled packs of soda have a UPC of 0 49000-00634 6 on each can and a UPC of 0 49000-02890 4 printed on the packaging. The products have an expiration date of Sept. 29, 2025.
People who have packages of Coca-Cola original taste are being urged to check the sodas to see if they fall under the recall category. If they do, they should throw them away or return the drinks to the retailer of purchase for a refund, according to Eating Well.
