An Anniston woman died this morning at about 5:39 a.m. in a one-vehicle crash in Calhoun County, state troopers said.

Abbigail M. Stovall, 21, was fatally injured when the 2019 Kia Optima she was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned, according to Corporal Reginal M. King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

She was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

The crash occurred on Peeks Hill Road, near Rock Springs Road, about six miles east of Ohatchee. No further information was available Sunday. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
