Birmingham Stallions set roster for 2025 United Football League season

The Birmingham Stallions trimmed their training-camp roster to the UFL regular-season limit of 50 by waiving 14 players on Thursday.

“We had to let some really good football players go,” Stallions coach Skip Holtz said on Thursday, “and that really pains me. … You never want to cut a guy that you could win with.”

Birmingham had six players from Alabama high schools and colleges on its training-camp roster and all advanced to the regular season:

  • Guard Deonte Brown, Austin High School (Decatur), Alabama

The players waived on Thursday included:

  • Linebacker Elijah Sullivan
  • Defensive tackle Demetrius Taylor

Baugh, Clarke, Hughes and Sullivan played for Birmingham during the 2024 season.

The Stallions’ regular-season roster includes:

Defensive ends: Bradlee Anae, D.J. Coleman, Ronnie Perkins, Myjai Sanders

Defensive tackles: Marvin Wilson, Perrion Winfrey, Willie Yarbary

Guards: Deonte Brown, Cole Schneider, Lachavious Simmons, Keaton Sutherland,

Kicker: Harrison Mevis

Long snapper: Ryan Langan

Middle linebackers: Tae Crowder, Chapelle Russell

Nose tackle: Carlos Davis,

Offensive tackles: Christian DiLauro, Jarron Jones, Armani Taylor-Prioleau, Barry Wesley

Outside linebacker: Kyahva Tezino

Punter: Colby Wadman

Quarterbacks: Case Cookus, Matt Corral, Alex McGough

Running backs: C.J. Marable, Ricky Person Jr., Larry Rountree III

Safeties: Kenny Robinson Jr., A.J. Thomas, JoJo Tillery

Tight ends: La’Michael Pettway, Jace Sternberger, Jordan Thomas,

Wide receivers: Deon Cain, Jalen Camp, Davion Davis, Cade Johnson, Amari Rodgers, Austin Watkins, Marlon Williams

Cornerback Ike Brown will begin the season on injured reserve.

The 50-man roster includes 23 players who were on Birmingham’s roster for the 2024 United Football League Championship Game, including 11 who started the 25-0 victory over the San Antonio Brahmas.

The Stallions are preparing for their season-opening game against the DC Defenders at 2 p.m. CDT March 30 at Audi Field in Washington. ESPN will televise the game.
