Decatur police have arrested a woman following a shooting this morning.

According to police, officers were called to the 300 block of Blackberry Drive S.W.

They found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound, who was transported to Huntsville Hospital.

Marquita Gary, 28, of Decatur, was arrested and charged with first degree domestic violence. Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Gary is being held in the Morgan County Detention Facility on $45,000 bond, according to police.
