60,000 bottles of water sold in Alabama, other states recalled

Trader Joe’s has announced the recall of over 60,000 bottles of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water.

According to an announcement from the grocer, Germany-based Gerolsteiner notified Trader Joe’s that certain lot codes of the glass bottles may have the potential to be cracked or damaged, leading to a laceration hazard.

The affected lot codes are:

  • 2024/28/11 24 2027/19/12
  • 2024/271/11 24 2027/18/12 

The affected cases of water were sold between Dec. 27, 2024 to Jan. 28, 2025 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

To date, there have been no customer reports of injury from the damaged bottles, according to the notice. Customers who have the affected bottles are urged to dispose of them carefully and go to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.
