31-year-old man killed in single-vehicle crash in southwest Birmingham

A Birmingham man was killed in a single-vehicle weekend accident on the city’s southwest side.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim Monday as Langston Jacob Thomas. He was 31.

The wreck happened at 12:43 a.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of Wilson Road S.W. Details surrounding the crash were not released.

Thomas was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:19 a.m.

Birmingham police are investigating.
