Wind advisory issued for Southeast Alabama until Wednesday morning

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday valid from noon until Wednesday 6 a.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.

The weather service adds, “South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” describes the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
