Alabama football injury update: These players will miss time in spring
Alabama football have several players who are dealing with injuries at the start of spring practice.
The Crimson Tide will have a handful of players out for the spring. Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer rattled off a list of players who are on the injury list right now.
Here are the most notable players who will be out for the spring, per DeBoer:
- cornerback Domani Jackson
- linebacker Deontae Lawson
- tight end Danny Lewis Jr.
- safety Keon Sabb
Other players out for the spring include punter Alex Asparuhov, long snapper David Bird, receiver Bubba Hampton and linebacker Fatutoa Henry.
Then there will be some players limited to individual drills only. “Non-contact” DeBoer said: linebacker Justin Jefferson, left tackle Kadyn Proctor and defensive lineman James Smith.
“Pretty much most of those injuries from last season still and expected,” DeBoer said. “Nothing new there from our standpoint.”
Alabama began spring practice Monday, and it will run through A-Day on Saturday, April 12. The Crimson Tide’s event, which DeBoer has said will be modified, will be free to the public but will not be broadcast anywhere.
