Man who murdered woman found in vehicle on Tuscaloosa County roadside sentenced to life without parole
A man who murdered a woman found dead in a vehicle beside a Tuscaloosa County road was sentence to life without parole, prosecutors said Thursday.
Terek Herron-Antone, 36, of Duncanville, was found guilty Jan. 16 of murder and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm in connection with the 2021 death of Syibrieka Underwood.
Underwood, 27, was shot to death.
She was found unresponsive in the passenger seat of a vehicle July 26, 2021 on Highway 82 in Duncanville as state troopers performed a check on the vehicle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Underwood and Herron-Antone had a relationship in the past, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Marty Sellers at the time of the murder.
Herron-Antone was sentenced Wednesday to life without parole on the murder charge and life on the weapons charge.
